Luigi Rubino (Member, IEEE) received the M.S. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in energy conversion from the Department of Industrial and Information Engineering, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli,” Caserta, Italy, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. He is an Associate Professor with the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. His research activities focus on power electronic, electric machines, and drives. He has actively participated in numerous national and international research projects. His main research interests include run time optimization methods for onboard power management, digital control, high power density power converters, and solid state protection. He is an IEEE Industrial Electronics Society member.

He is a Researcher with the Department of Engineering, University of Rome “Sapienza,” Rome, Italy, where his research activities focus on electronic power converters, electric machines, and drives. He has actively participated in numerous national and international science projects. His main research interests include the design of high power density power converters, electric drives, and control systems.,Dr. Rubino is actively contributes as a reviewer for various international scientific journals in the field of power electronics.
